Initial Assessment, Roadmap, and Solution Architecture

The first step in any project is assessing the current state, creating a clear future state vision, and outlining the roadmap to get there.  It is essential that the roadmap is constructed of value-added phases.  Even though a complete project may take years, it is critical to your business that value is created early and periodically throughout.

Solution architecture involves creating the detailed components required to accomplish each phase of the roadmap.  This includes specific business process changes, IT system selection and configuration, and team member hiring/training.  The solution architecture will be precise for the early phases of the roadmap and more general in the later phases (leaving room for changes based on potential findings as the project progresses).

IT System Selection and Implementation

Every process with even a small degree of complexity requires system enablement.  Given the roadmap and solution architecture, it is critical to select the proper system (or systems) to optimize processes and team members' time.  Picking the wrong system often leads to years of headaches.  With our experience and knowledge of systems with varying value propositions, we will help ensure you select the proper one.  During implementation, we will work closely with the system vendor's consultant creating specifications, configuring the system, testing, and training.

Project Management

Through every phase, we will act as project manager-creating a full project plan, coordinating team member resources, managing the budget, creating risk mitigation options, and providing timely updates to necessary stakeholders and the project steering committee.  In other words, we will do everything necessary to ensure success.
